Welcome to Language For Fun!

Welcome to Language for Fun Norwich with Barbara!
This is a truly fun language programme for adults, offering fun, stress-free lessons with no exams and no compulsory homework in relaxed but highly structured and effective classes, where a large part of the lesson is spent talking to other learners.
It's not only a great way to learn French and Italian, but also to build your confidence, exercise those little grey cells and meet new people.
Do get in touch if you would like to try a class!
There are existing groups doing term 3 of French Beginners, Term 3 of French Improvers, Term 1 of Italian Beginners and Term 3 of Italian Beginners. A Beginners group for French will be starting in January!
I am also happy to offer one-to-one sessions or classes for couples if you feel this would suit you better - we just arrange a mutually convenient time, and lessons are tailored to suit your individual needs and interests.

Term Dates

There will be a few meetings over the summer so that groups can meet up and refresh topics covered in their previous term rather than lose track over the long holiday!
The next 10 week term will start in the 2nd full week of September.

I have a list of people already interested in the new Beginners classes for French and Italian, so please get in touch asap if you'd like more details.

I was born and grew up in Norwich before graduating with a Joint Honours degree in French & German from Durham University. I then headed south to Hampshire, became a Chartered Accountant, had two children - and decided it was time to change career and qualify as a teacher! I taught at Primary level for 7 years and ran an after-school French Club for even longer. It was amazing to take responsibility for French when it became part of the curriculum and be able to inspire new learners. I love working with people and being able to share my enthusiasm for languages with others.
