Over 1,500 students take part in our classes every week! See what some of our students have to say about our classes here!
What I love about my lessons is how supportive everyone is. It is ok to get things wrong, it is ok to make mistakes and everyone helps each other. I like that we have (non-compulsory) homework and we get to go away and research things for ourselves and I enjoy the practice sessions so that we can work on our pronunciation. Our teacher Megan is great, she is really supportive.
Maxine - Newcastle-under-Lyme
Ruth is a fantastic teacher - so welcoming and funny! She has adapted to working over Zoom amazingly during the pandemic and encourages everyone to get involved without putting any pressure on. We are able to break out into rooms to have practice conversations with others in the group. This is a great way to learn the vocabulary and also to get to know people. Highly recommend getting involved with Language for Fun.
Hannah - Shipley, West Yorkshire
I love my French classes with Ruth. She’s a brilliant teacher - always encouraging and great with praise. You feel confident enough to give everything a go because her classes feel like a friendly and safe space. She helps everyone individually when they need it and she always responds to my emails if I want her to check something. If you’re looking to learn or improve on a language, I recommend Ruth 110%!
Laura - Burley in Wharfedale
It's tremendous fun! We are a friendly and happy group. Vicki guides us through the complexities of learning French with enthusiasm and great patience. We all make mistakes but never ever feel silly. I like the warm-up games which get us all thinking and ready to tackle the new lesson. Sometimes we're having such a good time we over-run the time slot!

Really enjoying French for Fun in Whitstable every Friday. A very relaxed way to improve your French but at the same time, it’s definitely stretching me - which is what I need! Recommended.
Colin - Whitstable
I was very apprehensive about having Spanish lessons via Zoom, but my family persuaded me. I have to say, I am so glad I did! I can see my classmates and catch up with their news. Even though it’s not quite the same as meeting for coffee at the Dog and Partridge, it’s still good fun. I have nothing but praise for Louise - she has put so much into making it all work.
Brenda - Burton On Trent
This is the fourth stage of our Language for Fun lessons with Louise - we have enjoyed them tremendously. The lessons have refreshed what I vaguely remember learning at school, plus we have learned so much more. Excellent preparation for holidays and a good foundation for those who wish to go on to become more fluent. Louise has also arranged get-togethers and other fun events. Highly recommended.
Tony - Burton Upon Trent
As a returner to language learning I find the format used by Language for Fun helpful and easy to follow. Our course tutor Steve Hodgson’s relaxed style works well with the group, always encouraging the class to participate and develop whilst at the same time keeping it all informal and fun. I would recommend any new starter to learning a language to look seriously at the package this company offers.
Jaime - Wakefield
French for Fun lives up to its name! We learn French phrases which you would use every day, in a relaxed and sociable atmosphere. I could not recommend the courses more highly if you would like to improve your French conversation and listening skills quickly - without actually having to do any homework!
Jean Robb - Worcester
I have just got back from Majorca. I had several almost normal conversations to the point where the lady in the gift shop refused to use English, forcing me to use Spanish (which I did quite well if I say so myself!) The difference compared to last year is MASSIVE, so thank you very much and I'll look forward to next term.
