I absolutely love my Spanish lessons with Lucy. She is a fantastic teacher. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. I am not a natural at languages but I find these classes fun and I've amazed myself with how much I've progressed in a relatively short time. It probably helps that the lessons are fun and group sizes small. I recommend with no hesitation.

What our Students say
“ I signed up with Steve Hodgson from “Languages for fun” this January 2020. I enjoy visiting Spain on vacation and wanted to enhance my enjoyment of my time there with a better understanding of the language. I attend the lessons on my own as a complete beginner.
Firstly, I have to say how much I have enjoyed the lessons, Steve has made the classes fun whilst also ensuring we are taking on board a minimum of what we should be learning each week. To be fair I would say Steve covers more than the basic weekly syllabus as he is committed to try and pass on all his knowledge he can to us whilst there. I like the structure of how we learn Spanish as it’s broken down into manageable amounts per week which as a novice makes it seem achievable to learn. Finally, even after just half way through the course I do believe I have learnt a lot and my Spanish has definitely improved and so has my understanding of the language. Even at this early stage I’ve signed up to the beginners 2 course as I’ve seen enough of it’s benefits in action. I’m really enjoying the lessons too and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Steve Hodgson and Languages for Fun. I’d class myself as an absolute beginner and felt anxious about doing something like this but would now positively recommend it."

French Improvers – The Red Carpet Cinema
I always wanted to take up French again after completing a GCSE through an evening class many years ago. So, when I retired I bit the bullet and signed up for classes with Christianne. I did speak to her first because by the passage of time, I was a ‘beginner’ and it was important to be with people of a similar standard. Christianne was very reassuring on this point.
My fellow learners are all very supportive, and we learn in a very convivial atmosphere, have fun and laughs along the way. At the same time we are learning and improving and I cannot believe how much French I actually spoke to my French friends when we were with them last summer. Indeed they were very complimentary about my efforts.
My advice- don’t hesitate if it’s something you really want to do. It does require some homework and effort but not so much that it becomes a chore. Christianne is not only a delightful person and an excellent teacher but a very good communicator and always willing to give her time in supporting your learning.

Beginner Level 2 course with Stephanie in Wakefield
I’d been thinking about taking up French classes for a while, and then Stephanie’s flyer came through my door and I seized the opportunity. She was able to advise me on what level to start with, as it had been years since I’d learnt French at school; she reassured me that I’d be in a group of adults of similar ages to myself, so that I didn’t feel embarrassed or awkward; and I was able to find an evening class that fit in with my working week. Every lesson was relaxed, fun, and left me with a sense of accomplishment. I have had no hesitation in signing up with the next term which I’m very much looking forward to.

Review of Language for Fun Malvern and Worcester
French for Fun lives up to its name! We learn French phrases which you would use every day, in a relaxed and sociable atmosphere. I could not recommend the courses more highly if you would like to improve your French conversation and listening skills quickly - without actually having to do any homework! (Jean)

Spanish in Lichfield
"I have just got back from Majorca... and had several almost normal conversations to the point where the lady in the gift shop refused to use English...forcing me to use Spanish which I did quite well if I say so myself! My point is I felt I didn't understand … much but the difference ...compared to last year is MASSIVE so thank you very much and look forward to next term."

Review for Christianne
I have been attending Spanish Language for Fun for two terms now after previously attending a night school course at college that I wasn’t very impressed with. I have learnt so much more with Christianne and have lots of fun whilst learning. I can’t believe how much more information that I retain during her lessons. I am currently on holiday in Spain and I am astounded at how much Spanish I am using and I feel so much more confident when talking to Spanish people (especially as they can understand me!). I would thoroughly recommend Language for Fun with Christianne, believe me you will definitely have FUN!
