We offer a range of levels of morning and evening classes, and with our experience we can help you find a class that suits you.
Maria and Alexis are our Spanish tutors, they are both native and offer a welcoming fun approach ideal for you to feel comfortable and embrace your learning journey. More information about the tutors can be found at the bottom of this page.

ABOUT Language for fun: it offers fun, stress-free lessons with no exams and no compulsory homework in relaxed but highly structured and effective classes, where a large part of the lesson is spent talking to other learners in the target language. Our conversations have been created specifically for adults, and we endeavour to create a welcoming atmosphere to ensure that everyone feels at ease and able to join in.
We hope to see you soon.
¡Hasta pronto!
Maria is from Barcelona, Solsona and Menorca but has lived in England for the past twenty-three years. In her professional career she thrived at organising events and managing marketing initiatives for companies in the tourist sector.
Maria is very sociable and she is possibly one of the most known people in St. Albans. As a keen host she loves cooking and having people around her house. She is involved in the community and volunteers at a local homeless centre. Maria lives with her husband, her two children, a couple of Watford footballers and 2 guinea pigs. And most importantly, her house is always your house.
In the past, Maria has had many requests for translation, helping children with Spanish, meeting up friends to help them improve their conversational skills etc, and a couple of years ago she decided to make a living out of it and started teaching Spanish officially. And the rest is history !
Núria graduated in Social Science and has a PhD in International Cooperation. Whilst she always carries with her social values, her professional career is been focused on the cultural and creative industry.
She is a curious mind always ready to learn and enjoys a good conversation (especially if it comes with a glass of wine or green matcha). Núria loves reading, swimming, and is passionate about travelling. Although she sometimes misses the sun and sea of her native Spain she so appreciates and enjoys the green Hertfordshire countryside, the fascinating conservation area of old St Albans and the easy access to the never-ending cultural discoveries and sites of London.
Núria will guide you through the authentic Spanish culture sharing her passion for music, books, cinema and gastronomy. She will be your contact dealing with all the admin issues and will share with Maria the management of the evening license.
Alexis was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain. Has an English mum so totally bilingual with Spanish as her second language. Mother of two lovely children and passionate about animals, specially dogs and horses. Loves to travel and has settled in St Albans since 2011. She feels blessed to have the best of both worlds, the relaxed approach to life from Spain and the multicultural vibe from England.
Alexis has a vast amount of experience as a teacher. She runs an after school club business teaching children Spanish since 2015 and also does private tutoring from beginners to GCSE or A level.
