Lovely, lively Spanish lessons for Beginners and Improvers from a teacher who 'knows your pain when you go to Spain'.
Over three units I will get you from not even being able to exchange niceties with officials, shopkeepers and restaurant staff properly to being able to buy food, drink and souvenirs confidently, navigate your way around a town and region and deal with 'holiday happenings' in a simple but effective way.
Over nine units I will get you from not even being able to exchange names with Spanish people to being able to exchange all sorts of information including where you are from and what it is like there, how you spend/spent and will spend your time on various occasions and your preferences and opinions on a range of topics.
It is NOT too late to learn Spanish as an adult (I am proof!) and my simple lessons will help get YOU speaking the lingo in next to no time too! Where there's a will, there's a way!

If you cannot find a class on this website timetable that fits in with both your availability and your (perceived) ability, get in touch with me anyway and tell me when you ARE free. It may well be that if there are a number of people in the same boat, I can rejig things to suit you! I can teach you from 8.30am to 9.30pm on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and from 8.30am to 5.30pm on a Friday. I can teach private lessons 1:1 and 1:2 as well.

Since my first of many twinning exchange trips to the Loire Valley in France and to the Ruhr Valley in Germany in my teens, I have always loved foreign languages, cultures and people (and of course the food and drink too). As part of my university studies, I spent eight months in Lorraine on the border with Belgium and Luxembourg, four months in Nordrhein-Westfalen on the border with the Netherlands and four months in the city of Lyon. Having only started learning Spanish as an adult, I have not spent extensive amounts of time in Spain but I have holidayed there as well as in Peru. Before becoming a licencee with Language for Fun, I taught for twelve years in secondary schools, including one in Zambia near the border with French-speaking Congo. I have had many adventures in many Francophone, Germanophone and Hispanophone countries where my language 'skills' have both saved the day AND got me into a bit of hot water! Let me use MY cringeworthy past experiences of making hilarious mistakes save YOU from doing the same.
When I am not teaching or learning languages (I speak some Dutch and Italian now too), I enjoy swimming, reading and walking but I am particularly passionate about the performing arts; I think you will be able to tell this when you meet me! I look forward to meeting YOU!
