I have just completed French Beginners with Lizzie who has been a great and enthusiastic teacher. The humour and cake make learning fun with just the right amount of challenge. Making everyone in the class feel welcomed, encouraged and supported to enable us to engage in the "fun" of learning, the clue is in the name ! No embarrassing on the spot questions and the confidence gained by all of us has been great. Split into useful topics to enable thought and discussion, learning phrases and the peculiarities of French grammar. Lizzie has explained it all with useful memory triggers and humour. I have been surprised by how much I have learnt and by how much cake I can eat ! I can't wait to start again in September.

I have been having French lessons for almost 2 terms. Stephanie is a super teacher - very patient and friendly. The lessons are very well thought out with good materials including videos online which help to practise pronunciation. Learning alongside other adults is a fun way to learn French and we are a friendly group who support each other. I cannot recommend Stephanie as a French teacher more highly.

At 53 years old I didn't really think I would be able to learn another language but Stephanie is fantastic. I have dyslexia so can find it hard to learn new things but Stephanie makes the learning so easy and so much fun. I would recommend Stephanie because she is patient, kind, a brilliant teacher and a really lovely lady.

I can't believe we're half way through our second course of French lessons! Stephanie is a brilliant teacher; we're having great fun and learning lots! C'est superbe!

I have just completed Spanish beginners one with Steve Hodgson who has been a fantastic and inspirational teacher. It has been great hearing the back story to his Spanish learning journey and hearing his enthusiasm for the language which has really motivated me to want to learn. His warmth and humour makes learning fun with just the right amount of challenge for beginners. His ability to engage the whole class regardless of ability is exemplary. There are no stupid questions and he turns everything into a learning opportunity. There’s a good balance of learning phrases, applying them in conversation and the grammar behind them. I was so surprised by how much I learnt in a short space of time. I can’t wait to start the next stage!

I'm really enjoying French for Fun in Whitstable in a relaxed atmosphere with a friendly group.

I'm really enjoying re-learning my school girl French and having the chance to chat to others. Vicki makes it fun and I have met some new people.

After taking a few French courses over the years, it has been so enjoyable to concentrate on actually speaking French. Sophie creates a relaxed atmosphere where you are encouraged to join in a conversation and improve your vocabulary and communication skills.

I am so pleased to have found this class. It is local, friendly and fun, and the tutor makes sure we all get plenty of opportunities to practise our spoken French. It is also designed in a way that helps you to learn about French culture and way of life. I also love the fact that there are classes during the day. I can't recommend this course highly enough.

I’m really enjoying the improvers French Lessons with Stephanie Fitzsimons. Stephanie is an excellent teacher and the tempo is just right. It’s relaxed learning but we still get through a surprisingly large amount in just a one-hour lesson. We also have a few laughs and it’s a nice little group who are slowly getting to know each other. If you are hesitating – don’t – just come along!
