Anybody who’s always wanted to move beyond the basics of French conversation but feels stuck! This is an in-person class for Improvers – you can speak conversational French, e.g. order a drink, introduce yourself, and ask for directions, and you know a thing or two about verbs, including how to use the past tense. Now you’d like to break through the barrier and have more interesting conversations, understand more spoken French, and have a wider range of vocabulary. Free taster sessions available so you can check if the level’s right for you! Give us a call or drop us an email for a friendly chat.

What's included?
  • All course materials (no need to spend extra on a textbook!)
  • Access to online revision videos after each lesson
  • Light refreshments at face-to-face sessions
  • Social events such as quizzes, film evenings and wine tastings (optional - sometimes there's a charge for these)

About

I've always had a love of languages and words: as a pre-teen, I set out to teach myself Russian from a dusty language book in my local library (didn't get very far!). Family holidays in France and a lovely French pen-friend in Brittany kindled a life-long love of French, which led to a period of study in Paris, marriage to a French/English bilingual and three dual nationality kids. Helping others make the journey from flustered to fluent is a joy and a privilege. I've never forgotten what it feels like to be a tongue-tied beginner (I'm currently learning Romanian, so it's all too real for me) and I love that Language for Fun's methods foster confidence in actually speaking the language from day one, without putting learners on the spot.
