Anyone who has covered the basics (greetings, numbers, days, months etc, basic shopping, holidays, finding your way around) It will introduce you to topics including talking about yourself in more detail, where you live, where you holiday, and will introduce language for various social and shopping situations.
You will learn how to talk not only about what you’re doing (the Present) but about what you’re going to do (the Future).
I provide all the materials you need and once enrolled, you’ll have access to extra online revision, videos and exercises to reinforce what you learn in class.
We cover essential grammar, but with a light touch, and because the group is small, there’s always time for questions, explanations and extra pronunciation practice. Straight away you’ll be trying out your French with others in your class and having fun. We’re a small, relaxed and friendly group and we’re not aiming for perfection, just the confidence to ‘have a go’!
You’re welcome to come for a free taster class at any stage (subject to there being a place available) – do get in touch for more information.
Right from my first French lesson as an 11 year old schoolgirl, I knew that I loved this beautiful, poetic language. I graduated from UCNW Bangor with a Joint Honours Degree in French and Latin, followed by Postgraduate Teacher Training, then in between raising a family, I taught French in North Wales, East Yorkshire and more recently, the Wirral. For quite a few years my family has hosted French students who come to this area to study.
I’ve recently been learning Spanish from scratch, which has given me plenty of insight into language learning for adults.
