I have always loved languages and studied French and German at school and then French and Russian at university. I've also learnt a little bit of Spanish and Italian, and even tried learning Mandarin and Korean, which are very tricky! I am passionate about sharing my love of languages with others. I am friendly and patient, and my classes are lots of fun. I don't put pressure on learners, but make sure they all feel comfortable to ask questions and have a go. Communication is more important than perfection! I have some learners who have been with me for 8 years, who have progressed from Beginners or Improvers to Advanced level. I love to see learners increasing in confidence and enjoying their language learning. I have been teaching French for over 20 years and enjoy making language learning accessible and fun for everyone. I am very happy to have expanded my business to start working with Tony, to offer more classes to people in Whitstable.

Bonjour. I'm Tony, and I started learning French at 6 years old. I did a degree in French and Drama at University of London. This included performing in French at venues like the Institut de Français, and spending time in France studying.
I also speak Spanish and German, and am currently pushing forward with the Irish language for fun!
I have always enjoyed finding fellow French speakers to practice with and love to teach, which I first began to do in my University vacations. I also drifted into teaching during my Nursing career.
I've been very excited to find a large French speaking community here in my new home of Whitstable, after spending 14 years overseas, latterly in Barcelona.
Many French people find Barcelona an exciting and practical place to live and work, so I spoke as much French there as Spanish (don't ask me to chat in Catalan!).
I love learning myself with Language For Fun, which has a philosophy of learning I appreciate - always have fun!
