Welcome to Language for Fun for lovely, lively French lessons for adults with Sophie.
We offer fun, stress-free lessons with no exams and no compulsory homework in highly structured and effective classes, where a large part of the lesson is spent talking to other learners. Our conversations have been created specifically for adults rather than teenagers and we try to create a coffee morning atmosphere, where we make sure that everyone feels at ease and is able to join in!
Group numbers are kept small (6 maximum) to allow everyone to play an active part in classes.
Come and learn in a relaxed environment - no homework (it's up to you), no test and no stress - and make friends meeting like-minded people!
If you cannot find a day, time and/or level that suits you, please contact us. We are happy to start new classes, as long as we have a minimum of 3 students.

Bonjour,
I am a native French teacher from Paris. I read German and English at university in Paris and have a working knowledge of Spanish. In 1993 I headed north to England for a bit of fun, then met my husband and never went back. I have worked for various small and large companies as a bilingual PA, and for a London law firm in their French law department as a paralegal. I quit my job when my son was born and realised at that point that what I really wanted to do was to pass on my knowledge and passion for languages to others. I have now been teaching French privately for a number of years to children (after school club), teenagers (GCSEs/A levels) and adults, in addition to working as a French tour guide for a well known public school.
I love teaching languages and this is hopefully reflected in the quality of the lessons provided. Above all, let's learn while having fun!
