French - Advanced

WELCOME TO THE SUMMER FRENCH BOOK CLUB FOR ADVANCED SPEAKERS!

If you love speaking, listening to, reading and breathing all things French, and you want to share that love with fellow francophiles in an inspiring, thought-provoking, friendly, relaxed way, then this is the the place for you!

What do we do?

The Language for fun book Club helps you to read your chosen book with support and encouragement. It also gives you the language necessary to discuss the story and its impact on you as a reader. You will all read a small section of the book at home each week then come together to discuss useful vocabulary and expressions and make sure that you have understood the gist, through a series of fun but structured group and pair activities.

What level of French do I need to have?

This course is suitable for learners with ‘A level or above who wish to extend their understanding of authentic language in an informal context without structured grammar input. 

This is a great way to let your French-speaking flourish in a natural, fun way as you speak about topics and themes that genuinely interest you. You will be able to develop your own natural French-speaking style and gain vocab and expressions for developing your ideas, feelings and opinions.
