learners with some experience in the language who want to consolidate the use of the present tense, get to grips with other ‘tenses’ and extend their vocabulary and confidence in spoken French.
Continuing after the Christmas break, we’re looking at how to talk about what you’ve done in the past (Past tenses). This course covers a range of useful topics and will introduce you to lots of relevant vocabulary. You’ll have real-life conversations with your fellow learners, thus developing your speaking skills and confidence.
I provide all the materials you need and once enrolled, you’ll have access to extra online revision, videos and exercises to reinforce what you learn in class.
Our approach is relaxed and friendly and there is plenty of time for questions, explanations and pronunciation practice.
The emphasis is very much on communication rather than perfection!
If you think that this class may suit you, you’re welcome to join us for a free taster lesson: the group is small, so do get in touch in advance to check that there is a place available.
Right from my first French lesson as an 11 year old schoolgirl, I knew that I loved this beautiful, poetic language. I graduated from UCNW Bangor with a Joint Honours Degree in French and Latin, followed by Postgraduate Teacher Training, then in between raising a family, I taught French in North Wales, East Yorkshire and more recently, the Wirral. For quite a few years my family has hosted French students who come to this area to study.
I’ve recently been learning Spanish from scratch, which has given me plenty of insight into language learning for adults.
