Italian - Beginner
This course is ideal for:
The Italian Refreshers – This course is ideal for developing your
speaking skills. It’s a complete revision of all the basic grammar,
including some tenses, and goes on to practise useful conversations
for
giving information about ourselves, shopping, ordering food and
drink,
traveling… Plenty of support and online resources. All resources
are
included: booklets, online virtual learning, etc.
You’ll have access to several social events to practise your
language
skills with other students: language breakfast, language karaoke,
themed
dinners, etc.
There are no exams, and there is no compulsory homework for this
course.
We focus on communication, not perfection!
The course will start on Wednesday, 17th September, 6.20 and run in
Ryde
(Crepe Lovers 21 High Street PO33 2HW) for 9 more weeks with a
2-week
break for half term. The course costs £175 for 10×60-minute
lessons.

Course Teacher
From a very young age she showed an interest in foreign languages and history, excelling in those subjects in her degree, she became a Tour Leader and Travel Agent which allowed her to travel the world, not only discovering new places but also new cultures and so many interesting people. She is a people's person and thrives when sharing her knowledge with others, be it a foreign language, that special recipe, some salsa moves or just general culture. She loves to cook, dance and travel and she considers herself as a citizen of the world!
After living in several different countries and more than 30 years working in travel and tourism and teaching in French, Spanish, Portuguese, English and Italian, she packed her bags and landed on the Island in the sun-soaked summer of 2018. Why, you ask? Besides missing the sea, Paula wanted to develop new projects and is now hoping to sprinkle some linguistic magic with her own cosy, warm, fun and friendly language school: Wight Languages!
But languages don't come on their own, so there's a world of things she would like you to try, from typical food, traditional dance, singing to karaoke in foreign languages, and enjoy happy moments amongst new friends!
