This course is ideal for people with some previous knowledge of Italian to a good basic level.
People who have had some experience, perhaps from holidays etc, but still want to improve.
People who have been trying to learn using “apps” and have become disillusioned?
People who want to speak Italian whilst on holiday.
People who have a holiday home in Italy, or who are thinking of moving/retiring there and would like to be able to communicate with Italian people.
Our friendly and fun 75-minute, value for money lessons will get you speaking Italian straight away and can be built on at each lesson.
Plenty of support and online resources
There are no exams and there is no compulsory homework for this course. We focus on communication, not perfection!
The course will start on Wednesday 18th September 2024 in Ryde 17:10 – 18:25 and run for 9 more weeks with 2 weeks break for half term (21th October). The course costs £175 for 10x 75 min lessons. Please pay a deposit of £30 to reserve your place and allow the production of all materials and online access fees. I kindly ask that full fees are paid before the first class of the term.

From a very young age she showed an interest in foreign languages and history, excelling in those subjects in her degree, she became a Tour Leader and Travel Agent which allowed her to travel the world, not only discovering new places but also new cultures and so many interesting people. She is a people's person and thrives when sharing her knowledge with others, be it a foreign language, that special recipe, some salsa moves or just general culture. She loves to cook, dance and travel and she considers herself as a citizen of the world!
After living in several different countries and more than 30 years working in travel and tourism and teaching in French, Spanish, Portuguese, English and Italian, she packed her bags and landed on the Island in the sun-soaked summer of 2018. Why, you ask? Besides missing the sea, Paula wanted to develop new projects and is now hoping to sprinkle some linguistic magic with her own cosy, warm, fun and friendly language school: Wight Languages!
But languages don't come on their own, so there's a world of things she would like you to try, from typical food, traditional dance, singing to karaoke in foreign languages, and enjoy happy moments amongst new friends!
