  • learners who have completed Beginners 1, 2 and 3
  • people with some existing basic French knowledge

The term will start with the Easy as 123 course, which will revise the key content from our first three courses, and brush up on important grammar such as the verbs “être” and “avoir”.

We will then start Improvers level 1. This course focuses on conversations about holidays, using the verb “to go”, using future tenses to talk about your plans, talking about where you live and for how long, describing your family using possessive pronouns “my, your, his, her etc”, saying how you feel with phrases that use “j’ai”, using object pronouns “it, them” etc to buy clothes in a shop, and place an order.

About

I have always loved languages and studied French and German at school and then French and Russian at university. I've also learnt a little bit of Spanish and Italian, and even tried learning Mandarin and Korean, which are very tricky! I am passionate about sharing my love of languages with others. I am friendly and patient, and my classes are lots of fun. I don't put pressure on learners, but make sure they all feel comfortable to ask questions and have a go. Communication is more important than perfection! I have some learners who have been with me for 8 years, who have progressed from Beginners or Improvers to Advanced level. I love to see learners increasing in confidence and enjoying their language learning. I have been teaching French for over 20 years and enjoy making language learning accessible and fun for everyone. I am very happy to have expanded my business to start working with Tony, to offer more classes to people in Whitstable.
