French - Intermediate

Although I have studied French in the past, I never really had the opportunity to practice my speaking. Being able to chat with people who also share a love for languages, the classes have been a great way to improve my spoken French in a relaxed atmosphere. Since attending classes, I feel much more confident that I can converse in French, even if my French isn't always 100% perfect.

I joined the classes online after a long break from studying French. Beth makes the classes friendly, welcoming and encouraging as well as fun. The classes have been great for building up my confidence again.

I love my French lessons, chatting in French, and helping each other to find the right word or phrase makes learning so enjoyable.

I enjoy the relaxed informal sessions-everyone is made to feel very welcome and I’m beginning to feel more confident both speaking and understanding French.

I always looked forward to my Spanish lessons with Meg - but now that I’ve got a bit of Spanish under my belt, catching up with my classmates is like having a gossip with old friends! It’s the closest I get to socialising since COVID! Love every minute.

Lessons are well structured and engaging with plenty of opportunity for participation. My understanding of both verbal and written French has improved considerably and I've picked up many useful phrases and tips enabling me to be more confident when trying French conversation.

Language for Fun is fun! Just the right combination of new things to learn, spoken language and revision in a relaxed atmosphere where you can challenge yourself if you want to.

I wanted to tell you was how much more confident I was in trying out my French, while working in Nice on a project. We used a local restaurant for the team every night. I told them - in French - that I was trying to learn the language but it was difficult for me and from then on, we tried to do everything in French, very slowly - but despite some funny moments, I did feel like I was getting somewhere! Even the conference staff in the hotel were very patient with me when I attempted to respond to them in French. I wanted to thank you for all your help and support and for making the lessons so enjoyable :)
