Bethan is a French Honours Graduate who has over 21 years’ teaching experience.  She teaches 300 pupils per week, as well as taking private GCSE and A’Level students.  She lived in Perpignan, in the south of France, for a year and has a holiday home just south of the Loire Valley where she is active in the community and has made many friends there.  She loves France and all things French and is still in regular contact with her French exchange friend from when she was 14!             I always looked forward to my Spanish lessons with Meg - but now that I’ve got a bit of Spanish under my belt, catching up with my classmates is like having a gossip with old friends!  It’s the closest I get to socialising since COVID!  Love every minute.

            Lessons are well structured and engaging with plenty of opportunity for participation. 

My understanding of both verbal and written French has improved considerably and I've picked up many useful phrases and tips enabling me to be more confident when trying French conversation.

            Much more confident in trying out my French, while working in Nice.           

          

            I wanted to tell you was how much more confident I was in trying out my French, while working in Nice on a project.

We used a local restaurant for the team every night.  I told them - in French - that I was trying to learn the language but it was difficult for me and from then on, we tried to do everything in French, very slowly -  but despite some funny moments, I did feel like I was getting somewhere!  Even the conference staff in the hotel were very patient with me when I attempted to respond to them in French.
