French - Beginner
This course is ideal for:
Beginners with no prior French experience.
Those who can’t commit to weekly classes.
Travelers looking for a quick language boost before a holiday.
Anyone wanting to refresh their French skills in a fun and fast-paced environment.
We cover the same topics as our weekly Beginners 1 class, ie numbers 0-100, greetings, phrases to help you to be understood, introducing yourself and others, basic shopping and days and months.
How We Teach
Our relaxed, friendly classes focus on communication, not perfection. You’ll engage in conversations with others in pairs and small groups, making the learning personal and practical. There’s no pressure to speak in front of the whole class unless you want to, so you’ll grow in confidence at your own pace.

Having learned French at school, I spent a couple of years living in France in my early twenties. On returning to England I went on to have a family and a career with a physical theatre company. During this time, my love for languages came back to the surface and I completed a degree in French and Spanish and did two extended road trips with my family, through France and Spain. I really look forward to sharing what I know of these beautiful languages, using the relaxed, friendly and effective methodology of Language for Fun.
