This course focusses on conversations about useful topics that you can use when you visit France. Learn to book a hotel, get information in a train station, talk about the weather, get help in a pharmacy and talk about simple health problems, get help with a car breakdown, go to a lost property office and describe lost items, talk about the beach, and skiing. In the course of these conversations, you will begin to use reflexive verbs, and the verbs “to go” and “to do”.
No exams, no pressure, no need to speak in front of the group unless you want to, no compulsory homework. Our methodology allows everyone to learn French in a relaxed, sociable group environment.
I have always loved languages and studied French and German at school and then French and Russian at university. I've also learnt a little bit of Spanish, and even tried learning Mandarin and Korean, which are very tricky! I am passionate about sharing my love of languages with others. I am friendly and patient, and my classes are lots of fun. I don't put pressure on learners, but make sure they all feel comfortable to ask questions and have a go. Communication is more important than perfection! I have some learners who have been with me for five years, who have progressed from Improvers to Advanced level, or from Beginners to Intermediate level. I love to see learners increasing in confidence and enjoying their language learning. I have been teaching French for over 15 years and enjoy making language learning accessible and fun for everyone.
