I have always loved languages and studied French and German at school and then French and Russian at university. I've also learnt a little bit of Spanish and Italian, and even tried learning Mandarin and Korean, which are very tricky! I am passionate about sharing my love of languages with others. I am friendly and patient, and my classes are lots of fun. I don't put pressure on learners, but make sure they all feel comfortable to ask questions and have a go. Communication is more important than perfection! I have some learners who have been with me for 8 years, who have progressed from Beginners or Improvers to Advanced level. I love to see learners increasing in confidence and enjoying their language learning. I have been teaching French for over 20 years and enjoy making language learning accessible and fun for everyone. I am very happy to have expanded my business to start working with tutors, to offer more classes to people in Whitstable and Faversham.

¡Hola! Bonjour! My name is Sarah Austen, I live in Faversham, Kent and I love languages! I love to pass this passion on to children, teenagers and adults (and especially to my own three children and husband who are all learning or speak a variety of languages also). It's never too late (or early) to learn a language. I moved to Spain, aged 10 and learnt Spanish and French from then, then German throughout secondary school and as an adult, have been teaching myself Italian and Welsh (and trying to revive the Gaelic I learnt as a child!)
