Hi, I'm Rosie and I love languages!
I have an Honours Degree in Italian and Spanish, and an MA in Translation Studies. I have been teaching Spanish and Italian with Language for Fun for over 2 years and I have also spent the last 12 years or so working as an Italian and Spanish translator whilst raising my children.
Before this I spent 3 years living in Sicily, Italy, teaching English to both adults and children, and several months living in Andalucia, Spain also teaching English.
I am fascinated by the Italian and Spanish cultures, and I love sharing my passion for these beautiful languages and cultures with others, through teaching.
I also know what it's like to be on the other side, and learn a completely new language from nothing. In school I only learnt German, so I studied French and Spanish from scratch in sixth form college, and Italian from scratch at university.
I know what it's like to feel like a fish out of water and not understand a single word. I also know the buzz that it gives you when you start to understand and be understood in a foreign language. It's a feeling like no other. I can't wait to help my learners experience that too!
