About

Originally from Lanzarote in the Canaries and a native Spanish speaker, Ruth has lived in England since 2016. Her passion for languages came from her childhood - she always wanted to learn English and spent 9 years learning in a private academy after school. She first came to the UK when she was 24 and started to become more fluent in English. Now, several years later, she is passing on her mother tongue to her young son, bringing him up bilingually with his English father. As a Language for Fun tutor, she is keen to share her knowledge of Spanish and the Spanish culture with her adult learners and to help them become more confident and comfortable using the language.
