This course is suitable for people who have completed our Beginners Programme and Improvers 1, or who have a good knowledge of basic Spanish but would like to develop their confidence, vocabulary and speaking and listening skills for ordinary situations before progressing to more challenging grammar. By the end of this course you will be able to:
Chat about Activities, Bodies, Clothes and Destinations
Conjugate regular present tense verbs with confidence
Understand and use adverbs of time and frequency

I have loved languages since childhood, when holidays were spent camping throughout Europe and trying to communicate with children of all nationalities, often through shared English popular songs!
I went on to study French and Spanish at Durham University, after which I was a primary school teacher for many years. There, I would ask children who spoke languages other than English, to teach me a few phrases in their language, which kept me aware of the challenges of learning a brand new language. I also kept up my skills with British Council teacher exchanges to France, as well as regular trips to Europe to visit friends and spend holidays.
Since leaving schoolteaching, I am thoroughly enjoying tutoring for Language for Fun, and the relaxed, enjoyable method of language learning, so different to how learners would have been taught in school.
French
