Rakel Fernandez is our native Spanish tutor from Madrid, Spain, now proudly adopted Scottish. She has lived in the UK for over 30 years, with most of that time spent in Scotland, bringing a lovely blend of cultures into her teaching.
Rakel is an outdoor lover, a true adrenaline enthusiast, and a big animal lover: she has had her own horse for nearly 10 years. She naturally enjoys connecting with people, discovering different cultures, and listening to their stories.
Her passion for languages led her to support a Spanish language exchange group, where she discovered how much she loves helping others express themselves in Spanish. Rakel creates a warm, relaxed space where learners feel at ease, build confidence, and truly enjoy speaking. Seeing her learners thrive while having real fun is what she finds most rewarding .
