Spanish - Beginner
This course is ideal for:
… what we call our Brilliant Beginners–learners who already have some experience of the language, but need to perfect their use of the present tense before expanding their vocabulary. We will focus on holiday vocabulary (this term is called “De Vacaciones”), learning about booking hotels, buying train tickets, driving in Spain, the weather, losing something, feeling ill, skiing and beach holidays and asking questions at the Tourist Office. This term is full of very practical vocabulary and lots of practice in the present tense.
This is the 3rd term of our popular Spanish For Beginners course and will be taught by Ivor who is a very experienced teacher and lived in Mexico for many years.

¡Hola!
I lived in Mexico for 28 years, working for some of that time as a teacher of English as a Foreign Language to pupils of all ages and in a variety of settings, including schools and language institutes. I didn’t speak a word of Spanish when I first arrived in Mexico; I now consider myself pretty much bilingual and I use Spanish every day. I have two languages, I have two passports, I feel part of two cultures, and I feel at home in two countries.
Being able to speak Spanish offers people many benefits, as it is one of the world’s major languages, spoken by hundreds of millions of people in about twenty different countries.
I’ve just recently started with Language for Fun and I really enjoy helping people begin and then grow as Spanish speakers, whatever their interests and needs may be.
