Spanish - Beginner
This course is ideal for:
What we call our Brilliant Beginners – learners who already have some experience of the language, but need to improve their use of the present tense before expanding their vocabulary. This course focusses on topics that are useful for holidays, such as booking trains or hotel rooms, talking about the weather, and where you are going, excursions, as well as the language to use if you lose something or you become unwell. Come and join us! There’s no judgment or tests here, only friendly encouragement and learning at your own pace.

Hi, I'm Rosie and I love languages!
I have an Honours Degree in Italian and Spanish, and an MA in Translation Studies. I have spent the last ten years or so working as an Italian and Spanish translator whilst raising my children.
Before this I spent 3 years living in Sicily, Italy, teaching English to both adults and children, and several months living in Andalucia, Spain also teaching English.
I am fascinated by the Italian and Spanish cultures, and I love sharing my passion for these beautiful languages and cultures with others, through teaching.
I also know what it's like to be on the other side, and learn a completely new language from nothing. In school I only learnt German, so I studied French and Spanish from scratch in sixth form college, and Italian from scratch at university.
I know what it's like to feel like a fish out of water and not understand a single word. I also know the buzz that it gives you when you start to understand and be understood in a foreign language. It's a feeling like no other. I can't wait to help my learners experience that too!
