This course is ideal for:
… The Spanish For Fun Book Club will help you to read your chosen book with support and encouragement. It will also give you the language necessary to discuss the story and its impact on you as a reader. You will all read a small section of the book each week then come together to discuss useful vocabulary and expressions and make sure that you have understood the gist, through a series of fun but structured group and pair activities.
We will also continue to practise our speaking skills as much as possible through lots of structured conversation practice.
This class will be tutored by a native speaker who will also be able to bring a wealth of cultural knowledge to the group.
If you visit Spain a lot or have a home there we look forward to hearing about your experiences – all in Spanish of course!
We will let you know which book we have chosen when you join, which you will need to purchase separately.

Course Teacher
I’m a qualified teacher with a PGCE in Secondary Modern Foreign Languages (specialising in Spanish and French) and a background that stretches beyond the classroom.
Before teaching, I gained experience in translation and media, which gave me a deep appreciation for the living, breathing nature of language — how it shifts across cultures, contexts, and communities.
I have taught across all age ranges, with a particular passion for making language feel fun and accessible to all. Whether I’m leading a preschool session with an emphasis on movement and music, unpacking grammar with older learners, or simplifying business lingo for corporate clients, I believe languages are best taught through authentic cultural discovery.
Language for Fun captivated me from the moment I stepped into one of Sharon’s classes; a room full of enthusiastic adults, and a very well-structured lesson plan that leaves teachers free to do what we do best: make language come alive whilst having as much fun as our learners.
I look forward to starting my journey with LFF and inspiring every learner to keep broadening their horizons to new ways of experiencing the world.
