French - Advanced
This course is ideal for:
Advanced Learners with͚ skills equivalent to “A” level who can comfortably use the past, future and conditional tenses. You will widen your vocabulary, increase your fluency and practise all tenses!
We will continue to use a text book “Grammaire en Dialogues” to guide our discussions, getting used to hearing short pieces of French spoken at native speed! We enjoy going “off piste” too and love to talk about any subject under the sun – as long as we try to do it French! We will also begin a “Book Club” format to alternate with “Grammaire en Dialogues” – Book TBA – to spark a different kind of discussion.
If you visit France a lot or have a home there, we look forward to hearing about your experiences!
This course will be tutored by Clare and held on Zoom. You will need to purchase your own copy of the text book.

Course Teacher
I am a fully trained teacher of MFL at Secondary level and have a lifetime passion for languages. At University I studied French but, desperate to learn Spanish, after graduation I moved out to Mexico City and worked there for over 3 years - talk about total immersion!!! Before I retrained as a teacher I worked for L’Oreal in Public Relations for nearly a decade and travelled all over the world. Now based back in my hometown of Sutton Coldfield, I love nothing more than to spend my summers in Brittany with my family. Tutoring for Language for Fun doesn’t feel like work to me and I really enjoy the structure of the lessons and the lovely atmosphere in class.
