Improvers 2 – A-Z
This is the start of a five-part programme designed to:
– revisit topics which you may know, but develop and extend your vocabulary,
– practise your listening and reading skills, as well as speaking
– consolidate the present tense, to ensure you are familiar with all types of verbs.
By the end of this series of five courses, you will be better at:
– using adverbs of frequency (often, never, sometimes, always)
– using adverbs of time (every year, most of the time)
– using prepositions (in, on etc)
– using strong pronouns (me, his, her etc)
– using adjectives
This course is to get you speaking and the more you do in class, the more confident you will be. Come and meet like-minded people and have fun speaking Italian in the pub!
Bonjour/Ciao/¡Hola! I’m French-Italian and I speak Spanish. Growing up on the French Riviera near Italy sparked my love for languages. I studied Music and Languages then moved to the UK. After successfully using my languages in Banking and IT, I became a language teacher and have been teaching for the past 20 years. I am cheerful, patient and enthusiastic. I am good at helping people of all levels overcome their fear of speaking a foreign language, focusing on building confidence and having fun.
Holidays are spent in France, Italy or Spain with my husband and our two boys, who are brought up bilingually in French but are also learning Spanish and Italian.
Sometimes at home, if we don't want the kids to understand something, we speak in German to each other but unfortunately the kids manage to get the jist of it. We need to learn another "secret language"! On my list is Portuguese and Polish but I haven't started yet.
