This course is suitable for learners who have some basic skills like counting, greetings and buying items, as well as getting by around town and having basic holiday Italian language. By the end of this course you will be able to brush up on the most important basic phrases that will help you when you go abroad, plus you will consolidate some of your Italian grammar, which will be a useful grounding in order to further your language studies.
This course will also help you become more confident with these Italian phrases and you have in-situation dialogues that help you speak more.
You can attend this course if you have not studied prior Beginners levels but you already know the basics of the Italian language. After this programme, learners tend to move onto the Improvers level.
Bonjour/Ciao/¡Hola! I’m French-Italian and I speak Spanish. Growing up on the French Riviera near Italy sparked my love for languages. I studied Music and Languages then moved to the UK for 9 months, and several decades later, I'm still here!
After successfully using my languages in Banking and IT, I became a language teacher and have been teaching for the past 20+ years. I am cheerful, patient and enthusiastic. I am good at helping people of all levels overcome their fear of speaking a foreign language, focusing on building confidence and having fun.
Holidays are spent in France, Italy or Spain with my husband and our two boys, who are brought up bilingually in French but are also learning Spanish and Italian.
I sing in my spare time, walk the dog, look after friends' dogs and grow plants, usually fruit and veg. I love foraging so my children are used to eating "spinach" of dubious provenance. I also teach GCSE and A Level to whomever needs a boost with their exams.
