This course is ideal for:
Suitable for learners who have some basic skills like counting, greetings and buying items. You will build up new vocabulary and learn useful language for getting by around town. By the end of this course you will be able to:
The course will start on Tuesday January 13th 2026 and run for 9 more weeks with a break for half term (17th February ). The course costs £165 for 10x 75 min lessons. Please pay a deposit of £65 to reserve your place. I kindly ask that the balance be paid by the 1st January 2026 (or pay the full fee of £165 if you prefer). My name is Patricia and I was born in Milano, Italy, and am proudly bilingual in English and Italian and I studied Spanish at an advanced level in Malaga, Spain. My lifelong passion for languages and communication has shaped both my personal journey and professional career.
Widely published I hold a Doctorate in Education from the University of Sheffield and have a strong background in teaching and educational research. I began my career as an Infant teacher before becoming a University Senior Lecturer , working with both undergraduate and postgraduate students in the field of education.
My interest in language acquisition and bilingualism runs deep. I believe that learning another language is far more than acquiring a new skill; it's a way to expand how we think, connect and engage with the world.
As an experienced educator, I deliver engaging and accessible lessons in Italian and Spanish, helping adult learners of all ages build confidence, enjoyment and lasting language skills.
I am looking forward to sharing my love of languages and my cultural experiences with whomever wants to learn Spanish or Italian at their own pace in a relaxing and enjoyable environment.
