Suitable for real beginners or the truly terrified. This course starts with the basics: hello, goodbye, what’s your name; but builds up quickly to short conversations based on your real life. By the end of the course you will be able to:

greet people

have a simple conversation about your family, your job, nationality and possessions

buy food in a shop and get information about opening times

use numbers to 100

There are no exams and there is no compulsory homework for this course. We focus on communication, not perfection! So no pressure ! The groups are small and relaxed. No one is put on the spot as we use a choral learning approach. Confidence grows when everyone practices together !
The course starts on Monday 12th January 2026 and runs for 10 weeks with a break for half term (16th February). The course costs £165 for 10x 75 min lessons. Please pay a deposit of £50 to reserve your place. I kindly ask that the balance be paid before the first class of the term.

Ciao! I'm a bilingual Italian/ English speaker, which I call my superpower! I was born in Milano, Italy and lived in the city of Torino teaching English to children and adults before moving to England.

My background is in education, initially as a primary teacher and then in Higher Education. Over the years I have travelled extensively and enjoy experiencing different languages, cultures, and traditions, but I am most drawn to my native country of Italy.

I am looking forward to sharing my love of my first language and cultural heritage with whoever wants to learn Italian at their own pace in a relaxing and enjoyable environment.
