French - Intermediate

French for beginners group has been a really good experience for me. I was a little nervous beforehand but needn't have been. The sessions have been really good fun, more like a social event than a classroom! The other members of the group have been really supportive and we always have a friendly catch up when we meet. I am not the best learner but have found the sessions to be very varied and expertly delivered by our tutor Aurore, who shows both enthusiasm and patience in abundance when dealing with our questions. I have learnt so many new words and phrases to hopefully use when we next visit France. I feel much more confident about speaking French than I did before - that was my aim after all, so I can highly recommend this course to you.

I have found the face to face french lessons great fun. Aurore is a wonderful host who makes us feel very comfortable and safe during the sessions. We have the opportunity to practice the french language individually, in pairs or small groups, and also as one whole group. We learn via word / phrase and number activities, lots of verbal activities and on-line recaps & quizzes. Whilst this is only my 2nd term at French for beginners, it has been great to recap on the French I undertook at school & relearn grammar and vocabulary I had forgotten. Learning to speak French by a teacher who is actually French has been eye-opening, especially with regard to the french culture and the use of the language. The sessions are: 1. Challenging - in the sense of learning new phrases, understanding the grammar - remembering the verbs etc. 2. Mind stretching - learning about French culture, whether something is masculine or feminine etc. 3. Rewarding - a feeling of achievement and success with regards to the weekly improvements I'm noticing 4. Above all, lots of fun!

As someone who dreaded French lessons during my school days, I was quite apprehensive about learning the language as an adult. However, my experience with Aurore as a French teacher has been nothing short of amazing! She has completely dispelled my fears and created a truly safe and welcoming learning environment. I can now hold conversations with ease, and it's all thanks to Aurore's guidance. I highly recommend Aurore as a French teacher for anyone, regardless of their previous experiences with the language. She has a true passion for teaching and goes above and beyond to ensure her students succeed. Aurore is such a wonderful teacher and being in class every week is simply a joy. All of our French classes are super fun and Aurore always makes sure that everyone is comfortable with the pace of the lessons and the content itself. She has managed to create an environment where everyone feels at ease and comfortable with making mistakes. I would 100% recommend her lessons to anyone looking for French lessons.

I have returned to French lessons after some years. I have always had to speak a little french but have never really mastered it so that I can think in the language. Now that I have a little more time I hoped that I could find a course where we could practice a lot of speaking and with kind people. I was thrilled to find that just the right course was almost round the corner being taught by a highly experienced, kind and efficient French woman who has taken so much care to actually set up the perfect situation with me and another woman who speaks french at a similar level to mine. It is more than I could have hoped for. The teaching is perfect, the location is perfect, the teaching is first class and we are made to feel comfortable and welcome. Wonderful! Thank you Aurore. I really enjoy French sessions with Aurore. She’s great at explaining things and taking things at an individual pace; I have made great progress and am getting more confident in French conversation.

Aurore is a fantastic French and Spanish teacher that I would recommend to anyone at any level. Her patience, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for teaching shine through in every lesson. I always look forward to participating in her impeccable classes! I might just start learning Spanish to have her as my favourite teacher!

Fabulous way to improve your French. The teacher is wonderful

Learning a foreign language can be a daunting task, and sometimes a boring and frustrating slog. However, classes with Aurore are always fun ! Her enthusiasm, commitment and support raises the bar to provide a progressive and enjoyable journey to success. Highly recommended.

Games: Good fun and appropriate for the occasion. Food: Perfect, good value. Atmosphere: Excellent. Aurore is a perfect hostess. She makes everyone feel very welcome and takes care to ensure that those attending alone are seated with people they know. Organization: Superb. I cannot fault it. Examples include: name badges, pre-orders of food, laminated game cards, decoration of the venue with French flags, and an excellent choice of venue. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
