Lessons are relaxed and informal, with a strong focus on communication and plenty of opportunities to practise speaking in a supportive group.

New learners are welcome to join at any time – if you join part-way through the term, you’ll only pay for the remaining lessons.

I’m originally from Brittany, France, and I’m a qualified, experienced teacher with a passion for helping adults enjoy learning and speaking French — whatever your starting point. I love making French feel accessible, and I believe everyone can have real conversations, even without being perfect!

I really enjoyed the French for Fun course and Florence really did make it fun! Each lesson focussed on a particular subject (eg television or home) and so you learn the vocabulary and grammar needed to talk about those things and then you have French conversations. If you want, you can do more work later at home but there is no pressure to do so. There is the Language for Fun website if you want to recap but also, Florence recommended some great Youtube channels. I personally liked the conversational parts best, but you need the vocabulary and grammar to be able to speak well, so it was all time well spent. We also did some quizzes and even sang along with Charles Aznavour! I really recommend this course.

I can highly recommend this course to anyone who has an interest learning the French language. Florence, been French means you are learning the way the French speak rather than how the English speak French. She is an excellent listener and makes the lessons great fun with easy systems to help you learn the vocabulary, verbs and the various tenses, etc. This course is great if you want to practise speaking the language with other people who are also learning.
