I am a near native speaker. I read French with Economics at Kingston University and then went on to study a Postgraduate Diploma in European Management at Dorset Business School. The highlight of both courses was living, studying and working in France, first in Rennes and then Poitiers, immersing myself in the language and culture of a vast and dynamic country.
Pursuing a career in clothing and home textiles as well as renovating a second home near St Paul de Vence, allowed me to use my language skills to the full. After having my two children I decided to teach French in nurseries and schools. I gained immense satisfaction observing children gain overall confidence in several subject areas through being exposed to a foreign language. I have also been teaching at GCSE level and am now teaching adults.
The aim is to have fun in a relaxed atmosphere with like minded people, whilst learning to converse fluently and grasp complex grammar concepts in a structured and progressive framework as well as developing a smooth, chic French accent! Course materials will be provided as well as access to the online revision videos. As we progress through the year, we will have social evenings with cheese and wine, French cinema and theatre outings, and any other French based social activities that students are keen to pursue. I hope to welcome you to one of my classes soon.
