I have always loved learning languages and about other cultures from a young age. After a school trip to France, I decided to study Modern Languages (French and German) at university. As part of my degree, I had the opportunity to spend a year in France as an “assistante” in a French school near Paris. Paris remains my favourite city to this day although I have visited many other parts of France. I communicate regularly with a French friend I have known since those early days.
Later, when I moved to the Midlands, the opportunity arose to teach French part-time to adults at a local college. I did this for many years whilst bringing up a young family but then moved away from language teaching as I progressed in my career. Most recently I decided to learn Spanish and enrolled with Language for Fun. I found the classes to be so relaxed and enjoyable, I decided I would like to share my love of French and France so applied to become a tutor. I looking forward to meeting you soon! Fiona
