French - Improver
This course is ideal for:
Learners who have studied the language before and already know how to use the present, future tense and passé composé. Spending time in France? Ever had a problem in a restaurant or being understood? Want a holiday recommendation or to buy at the market like a local? Want to hire a bike or chat to the taxi driver? Get ready to practise your perfect tense and perfect your pronouns to enable you to talk about anything from local excursions to finding parking spaces! This course is suitable for people who can get by in most simple situations and are starting to develop confidence using the passé composé. We will be doing the second part of this module this term.

I am a French native speaker and come from Lyon in the South East of France. I've been living in the UK for 20 years and first came to England to complete my university degree. My background is sales and customer service. I worked in export sales for 15 years as a business manager for a large manufacturing company so had plenty of opportunities to use my language skills through work including translating.
What do I love the most about Language for Fun? I have been teaching with Language for Fun for 4 years now and love the interesting and lively conversations that are sparked by the course materials each week. It's been amazing to help people grow their confidence in speaking another language.
I love travelling and discovering new places and new cultures. For me, part of the fun of travelling abroad is having a go at speaking the local language.
