Improvers – you know quite a lot of French expressions and vocabulary, and you’re starting to be confident using the everyday past tense, but you want to move on and have more in-depth conversations. If you want to learn to speak French, not just read or understand it, then you’ve come to the right place! Our classes are lively, structured and conversation-based. You’ll be picking up new vocabulary and phrases in no time, and having useful, relevant conversations in French from the beginning.

This term we’ll be using themed conversations to practice our verbs, as well as learning tons of great (and relevant!) phrases you’ll be dying to try out on your next trip to France.

About

I’ve always had a passion for languages and words! When I was a pre-teen, I decided to teach myself Russian using an old language book from my local library (I didn’t get too far, though!). Family holidays in France and a wonderful French pen-pal in Brittany sparked my lifelong love for French. This led to studying in Paris, marrying a bilingual French/English speaker, and having three kids with dual nationality. Helping others go from feeling flustered to fluent is something I truly enjoy and feel privileged to do for a living. I’ll never forget what it’s like to be a beginner myself, tongue-tied and unsure (I’m currently trying my hand at Romanian, so I know the feeling well!). What I love about Language for Fun is how its methods build confidence in speaking the language from day one, all without putting learners on the spot.
