French - Beginner
This course is ideal for:
Learners who are absolute beginners or rusty returners! Learning is designed to take you through every day spoken French, while on holiday or on short visits. Each class builds to a spoken, scripted conversation, which we practise in pairs, in a relaxed and sociable atmosphere. On the way we learn new vocabulary as well as a bit of grammar, culture and pronunciation. We then have an opportunity to create our own conversation with lots of support and there is always an emphasis on French for Fun! Learning is supported with course materials and access to online learning through the Virtual Learning Environment.

Louise studied French at the University of Manchester and obtained a Modern Languages PGCE from Goldsmiths, University of London. She has over 20 years’ experience of teaching French in schools in the UK and Guernsey. She also tutors private GCSE and A level students.
Louise has lived and worked in France for a total of 9 years, most recently near Poitiers where she taught English to adult learners for 6 years. She loves France and all things French and enjoys sharing her linguistic and cultural knowledge in a relaxed and fun way.
