people who have already done some French; maybe you did French at school a few years ago and are feeling a little rusty or you have already made a start on the basics and want to move on. This block of lessons ‘Ma semaine’ covers talking about what you’ve done in the past week and where you’ve been on holiday and what you did. We will be working on how to talk about past events. The lessons are relaxed and informal, with the emphasis on communication and plenty of opportunities to practise your spoken French with other members of the group.

About

My love of French started from a young age when on holiday in France and continued throughout school and university leading to a degree in modern languages.
My first couple of graduate jobs involved working in the contracts sections of two different tour operators; giving me ample opportunity to make the most of my language skills both by phone and face to face contracting with various hoteliers, apartment owners and transport businesses.
I then chose to complete a PGCE and worked as a language teacher at secondary level for over twenty years. It was during this time that I was inspired to develop my knowledge of Spanish; I'd done a basic introduction at school and had the rudiments but decided to take it further via a combination of residential courses in Spain and intensive evening courses at my local university. I can safely say I understand what it is to be an adult learner!
More recently I have tutored adult learners. I have lots of experience at all levels: from beginners through to A level.
Work and leisure opportunities have allowed me the pleasure to travel extensively throughout France and Spain, as well as living for a year in Normandy.
