It is fun learning French with Stephanie. She has a great sense of humour and it's very relaxed. We are a small group and everyone is really friendly. It's so much better to learn with a native French speaker and Stephanie is a really good teacher.

I'm really enjoying the class and the new approach to language learning, which is of great benefit to me. Thank you Stephanie for your patience and for making the classes fun. I highly recommend them to anyone wishing to progress in French.

I’m really enjoying the improvers French Lessons with Stephanie Fitzsimons. Stephanie is an excellent teacher and the tempo is just right. It’s relaxed learning but we still get through a surprisingly large amount in just a one-hour lesson. We also have a few laughs and it’s a nice little group who are slowly getting to know each other. If you are hesitating – don’t – just come along!

Stephanie's French lessons are very relaxed and lots of fun. At the same time, I feel that I am learning a lot and becoming more confident.

At 53 years old I didn't really think I would be able to learn another language but Stephanie is fantastic. I have dyslexia so can find it hard to learn new things. Stephanie makes the learning so easy and so much fun. I would recommend Stephanie, she is patient, kind, a brilliant teacher and a really lovely lady.

I have been having French lessons for almost 2 terms. Stephanie is a super teacher - very patient and friendly. The lessons are very well thought out with good materials including videos online which help to practise pronunciation. Learning alongside other adults is a fun way to learn French and we are a friendly group who support each other. I cannot recommend Stephanie as a French teacher more highly.

The course was fantastic and the way Stephanie taught us was very relaxed and friendly making it easy to learn and giving us lots of confidence. The lessons were fun and course materials really good. I’d been thinking about taking up French classes for a while, and then Stephanie’s flyer came through my door and I seized the opportunity. She was able to advise me on what level to start with, as it had been years since I’d learnt French at school; she reassured me that I’d be in a group of adults of similar ages to myself, so that I didn’t feel embarrassed or awkward; and I was able to find an evening class that fit in with my working week. Every lesson was relaxed, fun, and left me with a sense of accomplishment. I have had no hesitation in signing up with the next term which I’m very much looking forward to.

I’ve just completed my second term with Stephanie. Her classes are really informal and lots of fun and Stephanie’s teaching style is just wonderful and reassuring. It’s 30 years since I last studied French and I was so desperate to learn it again but wasn’t sure if I’d feel comfortable being back to a class environment. I needn’t have worried. I’ve absolutely loved it so far and can’t wait to start my third term.

Friendly, enthusiastic and supportive teacher. The course is well-structured with plenty of reinforcement of new vocabulary and grammar. The topics are relevant and interesting. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the course and feel that my level has improved.

This is such a lovely way to brush up on your French. You are never judged when you get it wrong so never feel silly, I've gained in confidence with my speaking skills because of this. Stephanie is a great teacher, she makes it fun and relaxed and keeps it at our pace. Can't wait for next term.

Stephanie is the loveliest teacher! Life is very busy and I'm constantly juggling but I've just started term 3 because this is a little bit of me-time that I make sure to fit in. The spoken lessons are excellent and the online supporting training that can be accessed anytime is 'fantastique'. I really enjoy learning with Stephanie and look forward to each lesson.

Stephanie is an excellent teacher of the French language. She has an ability of making even the most complex of grammatical, or complex verb formation understandable. I was apprehensive at walking into a class at 60 and worried about my level of French, but I was made very welcome and quickly got used to the weekly structure of the lessons. I have been attending the French for Fun course with Stephanie for 2 years now and cannot imagine ever stopping! She is a first class teacher who makes the lessons fun whilst ensuring that we still do some serious learning. The course materials are already very good but Stephanie regularly adds to them to improve our understanding of a tricky grammar point or to provide additional vocabulary. She seems to have endless patience, encouraging and installing confidence in her students. I would highly recommend her classes to anyone wanting to learn French, whether a complete beginner or someone wishing to develop their existing skills in the language.

French for Fun delivers exactly what it says, learning French language with Stephanie is both effective and enjoyable. Stephanie is a native French speaker as well as a qualified and experienced French language teacher. Lessons are delivered in small friendly group sessions whilst there is further support online, which along with the written materials help with consolidation and recall. The courses and the individual lessons are well structured yet room is made for creative and skilful use of the course materials which promotes French conversation amongst the learners within the class; the many grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation mistakes are corrected in a supportive way with good humour. There are various courses for different levels of fluency and Stephanie will help any learner to assess their level and join a course most appropriate for them. Joining a language course can seem daunting but I would encourage anyone who has an interest and desire to learn or improve their French to consider joining one of Stephanie’s French for Fun courses.

What a privilege to learn French from an actual French person! And not just anyone - Stéphanie is a fully qualified teacher who has taught in schools. The classes are small (typically no more than 5 or 6 people), relaxed, fun and friendly. Stéphanie greets everyone with a warm smile and you leave each lesson feeling energised and motivated to learn more. Choosing to learn a language as an adult can be daunting, but I would say to anyone thinking about it: just go for it! Your classmates are all in the same boat. There’s no better place to start your French learning journey than with Stéphanie.

This is the most fun I have ever had learning French, no dull grammar drills or exercises, just practical learning points and real French cultural and language points explored and explained. Stephanie presents the lessons in a fun and engaging way with interesting topics to practice and go over, with lots of speaking and listening practice, the learning material is clear and well presented and her teaching skills are excellent ! Stephanie is a really thorough tutor. I've had three terms with her now in small group sessions. I am feeling more confident with my French when on holiday and that is thanks to her. She is patient- never makes me feel stupid for asking the silly question. The people in the group are so friendly and you gain more and more confidence as time goes on. I wholly recommend her. Her lessons are reasonably priced and she offers a range of times and days. I have no negatives - the materials are helpful and Stephanie makes each lesson engaging and fun to be a part of.

Stephanie is a wonderful teacher! She is patient, extremely knowledgeable (as a native speaker) and she makes learning fun. The lessons are not daunting, they are welcoming and supportive - we even have a little catch up chat up at the beginning which I love! It's like learning a language with a friend. I really like the structure of the lessons too, you know what to expect - no scary surprises to put you on the spot. I cannot believe how much I have learnt in a short space of time! I have just completed my French Level 1 (in a 1-1 class) and will be continuing with Level 2 shortly.

Stephanie, What a fantastic teacher, I do believe I would have done better at school if she had been my teacher way back then. My hour class feels like 5 minutes I’m enjoying that much.
