Improvement in spoken French

I am currently "rejuvenating" my French speaking ability in order to better communicate with my daughter-in-law's parents. I was down in London at the w/e and my daughter-in-law said (as I was using French with my grand-children) "You must have a very good teacher as your spoken French has improved immensely!" High praise indeed for Jane as she has managed not only to restore my confidence but also to give me the tools and vocabulary to use that new found confidence with. Well done Jane!

Kind, friendly and patient teacher

I've been having a brilliant time learning French with Jane. I'm in my fourth term in improvers and every week is a brand new challenge. It pushes me but it's also very achievable which means I get a lot from the sessions. Made some lovely friends in my class and I intend on carrying on with my lessons until I'm fluent. Jane is a kind, friendly and patient teacher. Really good classes! All in all, Language For Fun Ashby is wonderful! Would highly recommend!

Makes holidays special

I have thoroughly enjoyed Jane's 'Language for Fun' Course. I had always considered myself useless at languages at school. However, since starting the course last September, I have now recently holidayed in the Dordogne region of France for the first time. I had a brilliant time and conversing in french made it all the more special. I can't thank Jane enough for her patience and for making it such fun in learning the french language. I am very much looking forward to continuing the course and to planning my next holiday in France. Vive la France!

Jane is a great teacher - really patient and knowledgeable. The others in my class have moved from being fellow students to being friends. The main thing is that we are not afraid to get things wrong in front of each other - the atmosphere makes it comfortable enough to give it a go. And that is down to Jane. Good for the soul. Especially in these times.

Really good courses. Our teacher Jane is great and always checks we are happy and understand everything. She has masses of patience, is a very considerate teacher as well as a very nice person and makes learning fun. The course materials and the learning website are excellent and great for revision. helpful way to improve

The content of the lessons is relevant and focusses on real life needs that one could encounter on a visit to France. The language is up to date and phrases discussed are useful in conversation. Since the lessons are a mixture of new vocabulary, verb conjugation and grammar supported by the practice of applying the new learning to sentences and conversation, they are a helpful way to improve at French understanding and speaking. Jane is enthusiastic about the learning and supports us all and encouraging us to have a go, whilst offering alternatives and correcting errors without us feeling we have got anything wrong! She makes the lessons interesting by exploring and extending our knowledge and understanding by investigating word patterns and links. A great way to learn French

I joined Language for Fun, French with Jane Wilde in January 2018 shortly after retiring. My experience of French at school was not good, so I was not optimistic. Here I am two and a half years later and I love it. I have attended classes both face to face and on Zoom. All are fun, friendly and interesting. Jane prepares well so the classes run smoothly and at a pace that suits all members of the group. Jane has a relaxed but confident approach to teaching French and encourages all group members to have a go at speaking, listening and writing. The Language for Fun program is great way to learn French. It starts from simple beginnings and progresses as far as you would like it to. I cannot praise the course and the tutor, Jane Wilde, highly enough.
