French - Beginner
This course is ideal for:
Every September we start a brand new beginner 1 class which rolls over each term as you progress through the levels. This group is now rolling over to Beginner 2 and has some availability. Some learners stay with the group, some leave and are replaced by newbies from the waiting list, who have the right level to join the group.
PLAN AHEAD
The waiting list for this group is now open and by the beginning of term the course is generally full, so book early to avoid disappointment.
A brand new group always consists of 12 learners with various levels of confidence and beginner level ability. Everyone is in the same boat, not knowing if what they are saying is right or wrong so we all look after each other in this supportive, encouraging, learning environment.
Thursdays 7:30 – 9pm.

Bonjour ! My name is Mathilde and I'm a passionate and dedicated French native with a deep love for language, culture, and communication. I was born and raised in Orléans and moved to the UK 10 years ago. I'm now happily raising a little bilingual baby here in Godalming.
Whether you're learning French for school, travel, work, or personal enrichment, I aim to create a supportive and engaging environment where students feel confident and motivated to learn. My teaching style blends interactive methods, real-life conversation practice, and cultural insights to make learning both effective and enjoyable.
I truly believe that language learning is a journey—one I've experienced firsthand when I moved to the UK. I'm here to guide and encourage each student every step of the way. I look forward to helping you discover the beauty and richness of the French language!
