This face-to-face course will run in Birkdale.

This course is ideal for people who are already familiar with basic Italian and are looking for a conversation-based course. The class has already looked at numbers, talking about ourselves and the topic ‘around town’ (directions, places in town etc.). We will be starting the topic ‘holidays’ (booking a hotel room, asking what there is to do etc.).

There are no exams and there is no compulsory homework for this course. We focus on communication, not perfection!

The course will start on Tuesday 1st October 2024 and run for 9 more weeks with a break for half term (29th October). The course costs £165 for 10x 75 min lessons. Please pay a deposit of £50 to reserve your place. I kindly ask that full fees are paid before the first class of the term.

What's included?
  • 10 x 75 minute classes
  • All printed resources (no need to buy a book as well)
  • One year's access to our Virtual Learning Environment with revision quizzes and videos

About

I am passionate about languages and studied French and Spanish at Cambridge University. I am now a qualified Modern Foreign Languages teacher at secondary level and have experience of teaching primary level languages all the way up to A level.

I love visiting new places and have spent time travelling around and volunteering in South America. Whenever I go to a new place I always try to have a go at the local language and can often be found clutching my phrase book with a look of polite terror as the person I am talking to replies to my question at top speed! As a result I am able to empathise with learners who feel nervous about speaking in front of others or who have had similar experiences with languages on holiday.

Whether you are starting from scratch, dusting off your high school French and Spanish or perfecting your language skills, Language for Fun classes provide a supportive and relaxed environment to learn and have fun. I hope you will join us!
