What our Students say
Share a love of all things French
It's an opportunity to meet different people and share a love of all things French. It certainly improves the conversation you can have when in France and keeps the language alive when in he U.K. Above all it is fun and stimulating.

I would even enjoy more homework!
I have now completed two terms of French and my vocabulary has improved a lot; with the weekly practice helping to keep one focused. I would even enjoy more homework!
Robert - St Albans
Welcoming to a beginner
I find the classes very relaxed and welcoming to a beginner.
Heather - Harpenden
I have participated in French conversation lessons for the last 4 years. The lessons provide an ideal opportunity for me to practice my French in a supportive environment, which is also fun! The lessons are well structured with an emphasis on different grammatical points. Venez participer aux cours avec nous!

The time just flew by!
I had been wanting to start French conversation classes for some time, but I was nervous about meeting other people who I was sure would be far better at French than I was. I needn’t have worried! I was warmly welcomed by other class members, and was soon put at ease. The informal classes are informative as well as fun, and the time just flew by. Mathilde is happy to explain the finer points in ways that make the information stick. Can’t wait for my next class!

The most enjoyable hour
I always look forward with interest and expectation to my French for Fun classes every Wednesday morning with Mathilde. She is a brilliant teacher with a very relaxed approach in the way she interacts with us, who specially like me, does not yet dominate her beautiful language to the full. I also do enjoy the company of the others in our group making it altogether a fun and most enjoyable hour. Wish it was more than that!
Marcella - Harpenden
I enjoy the French class because I meet like-minded people and there is always time for a joke as well as more serious learning.
Jenny - St Albans
Meet and interact with people
I have attended French For Fun classes for over a year, I find the classes informative and detailed whilst not being overly complex. It's a great way to meet and interact with people who want to improve their language skills. Our Teacher is professional and patient and does not over complicate the learning process.

Practice without being put on the spot
Always in a relaxed atmosphere, the classes are light and fun, but you are learning all the time. Small groups are really good and you always get a chance to practice something but without being put on the spot.
