Our French classes are dynamic and lively. We learn in small groups over a drink in a local cafe or pub. Not only are you learning a language, you're also making friends with other likeminded people.

I never make anyone speak French in front of the class if they don't want to, and yet in a typical lesson you get plenty of opportunities to speak to each other and practise what we're learning.

There's no pressure, no compulsory homework, no tests, no exams or unnecessary stress. If you're going to learn a new language, this is the way to do it! Join us!

Hi! I qualified as a language teacher back in 2000 and I've been teaching Spanish, French and English ever since! I lived and worked in Spain for several years and learned to love the Spanish language and culture, liking nothing better than helping my fellow native English speakers to appreciate it too.

I've taught my language - and the languages I have learned - to the highly educated and the barely literate, to people in their eighties and toddlers still in nappies,to accomplished linguists and the truIy terrified, and I love adapting what I do to the needs and pace of my learners and watching everyone make progress (at their own speed) towards their personal goals, whether that be mastery or an easy-going hobby.

I firmly believe in lifelong language learning and in my free time I'm trying to improve my (basic) Mandarin Chinese and Italian. I may be fluent and qualified to teach French, Spanish and English, but I am still a beginner learner of Chinese and Italian, so I know how daunting learning a language can be and how important it is that the atmosphere and materials in a class are non-threatening, easily accessible, and thoughtfully designed, and what a difference it makes to have an approachable, understanding teacher.

I am confident that you'll love the experience of learning with Language for Fun.

Bonjour, my name is Emiliano.
Born in Albania but raised in Italy, I was bilingual before I even began to learn and appreciate the beautiful French language which I was to eventually study to degree level along with Spanish.

During my career as account manager for City Bank and other companies I had the opportunity to hone my French, English and Spanish through working with our international clients and I developped my fluency and understanding of the culture during my time living in France. Serving in the British Army for seven years provided many more chances to develop my skills as a linguist and language teacher where I served as a languages teacher in the Army Learning Centre.

I am enthusiastic and passionate about languages and understand first hand all the challenges and triumphs that come to those who begin learning a language. It's an exciting journey and I can't wait to be a part of yours!
