After the success of our first French film night in Woodhouse Eaves last July, we are now ready to launch a whole new program for this new school year.
On June 11th, we will show the film “Les petits mouchoirs” (“Little white lies”) (2010 – Directed by Guillaume Canet)
This film shows a chorus of great actors leave a great summer together, and will drive us from fabulous laughs to, maybe, some tears (might be safe to prepare some “mouchoirs” for the audience…). A good way to prepare for holidays while discovering fabulous French landscapes around the Bassin d’Arcachon.
The movie will be shown in French with English subtitles. We will have a chatty social time after the movie, in French or English, up to you, around some refreshments and nibbles.
This evening is open to all public (not only Language for Fun learners). Tickets will be sold £8 prior to the event and at the door, watch this space for the coming link to ticket sale.
The plot involves a group of friends, who, despite a traumatic event, decide to go ahead with their annual beach vacation. Their relationships, convictions, sense of guilt and friendship are sorely tested as they are finally forced to own up to the little white lies they have been telling each other.
