… the true beginner with absolutely no or long since forgotten Spanish. We start with 1, 2, 3 and a, b, c. We learn the foundations of Spanish pronunciation eg: how to say your b and v or how to roll your rrrrs and the ground rules of grammar eg: the difference between masculine and feminine. Find out similarities and differences between the Spanish and English languages and about life in Spain or South America. Get tips on how to remember what you are learning and recall it quickly when needed. Build up quickly in confidence to say what you want when out shopping or for conversation about yourself and your family. And crucially learn how to understand what is said back to you !

What's included?
  • All learner worksheets and access to our accompanying online videos that support and reinforce learning at home
  • A cuppa (or sometimes a cheeky copa de vino) and a piece of homemade cake each lesson - we find cake pretty crucial here for learning a language !
  • Individual catch up sessions wherever possible if you have missed a class
  • An invitation to an optional termly social event, usually at a local pub and usually involving lots of fun !
  • Invitations to optional Pay What You Want holiday classes to meet up and practice your Spanish in a relaxed way between the 10 week terms (and to eat more cake !)

In the Spring term our Monday evening Spanish Beginners class runs from the 6th January to the 23rd March 2020 with a two week break for half term on 17th and 24th February. We are happy to accept learners onto courses part way through a term (on a pro rata basis) and would support them in catching up if they cannot possibly wait until the start of the following term to get learning (and eating cake !) There is plenty of free street parking available right outside the venue but please consider our neighbours and access for emergency vehicles when leaving your car. Both the venue and lessons can be adapted for learners with additional needs - just get in touch to discuss how best we can achieve this in partnership with you.
