This is a face-to-face course and will run in Birkdale.

This course is ideal for people who have done some Spanish before. We have already looked at numbers, talking about ourselves, basic verbs in the present tense and vocabulary for ‘around town’. We will revise all of this and finish the ‘around town’ topic this term. Get in touch to see if this might be the right level for you.

There are no exams and there is no compulsory homework for this course. This term we are going to look at the topic ‘holidays’ and learn about things like booking accommodation and guided tours.

The course will start on Tuesday 27th September 2022 and run for 9 more weeks with a break for half term (25th October). The course costs £145 for 10x 75 min lessons. Please pay a deposit of £50 to reserve your place. Full fees are due before the first class.

I am passionate about languages and studied French and Spanish at Cambridge University. I am now a qualified Modern Foreign Languages teacher at secondary level and have experience of teaching primary level languages all the way up to A level.

I love visiting new places and have spent time travelling around and volunteering in South America. Whenever I go to a new place I always try to have a go at the local language and can often be found clutching my phrase book with a look of polite terror as the person I am talking to replies to my question at top speed! As a result I am able to empathise with learners who feel nervous about speaking in front of others or who have had similar experiences with languages on holiday.

Whether you are starting from scratch, dusting off your high school French and Spanish or perfecting your language skills, Language for Fun classes provide a supportive and relaxed environment to learn and have fun. I hope you will join us!
