I’m Jemma and I am very excited about joining the Language for Fun family. I have always had a passion for languages and after completing my degree in French and Italian I have been fortunate enough to study and work in both of these beautiful countries. I love it when I learn new words and phrases and I love sharing this with learners.
For the past 13 years I have taught French, Spanish and Italian to learners of all ages from 7 – Adult. In 2015 I completed my Masters in Education research and focused on how to make lessons more engaging and ways to get the most out learners. The Language for Fun teaching methodology is an excellent example of this, as it teaches languages in a fun and supportive way, which allows learners to build confidence and learn at their own pace. I look forward to beginning French with you soon – don't hesitate to get in touch and arrange a free taster .

Who knew learning French could be fun?

Who knew learning French could be fun? I was desperate to learn but had very little confidence in trying to speak French.However, a year and a half later thanks to the brilliant teaching skills of Sharon and Jemma , I am starting to feel much more confident. Although at the moment we can’t physically meet together, our virtual classes on zoom are very successful and every week we learn a lot and laugh a lot.I can’t recommend Language for Fun enough - The materials are relevant and accessible, the teaching is outstanding and it is a really good way to meet new people.

Being able to read or speak a modern European language like French is more important than ever, in my view. Whether you are starting from scratch, or improving on the French from your schooldays, I think that French for Fun is an ideal forum for learning within a group, under the expert guidance of teachers Sharon and Jemma. As a group, we support and encourage each other, and I feel that we are gaining confidence in our French conversation. It's good fun too.
